About MadewithJoon

MadewithJoon is a personal project derived from the desire for continuous learning, fashion, and the passion to upcycle, thrift, and save materials from the landfill. Like humans, we all deserve love, purpose, and appreciation no matter how old. Each fabric is personally and meticulously sourced and procured - which means each piece has a story and history. Whether it was a diamond in the rough of a remnants bin, bedding from an outlet store, or a vintage Indian saree, each piece is a reminder that beauty and value is in the eye of the beholder.

When I come across a material that speaks to me, I see visions of all the possibilities. Most projects come with a new skill learned to create the piece - which is the purpose of MadewithJoon. In order to become better, more skilled, and open new opportunities, one must get their hands dirty and learn. Because learning is a lifelong endeavor, I create more pieces than one can own. Therefore MadewithJoon allows the creations to then be adored and appreciated by others while practicing the personal art of letting go.
